There's no room for maturity or common sense if you are a TAYER and it must stop!

Please report instances of apparent maturity or common sense to the moderators.  These will be dealt with mercilessly according to established protocols involving, among other things, ridicule and public humilation.

Or have I been spending too much time on Telemarktips?

With regard to Telemon's original question, I've found the past couple of Septembers (including the one just concluded) very agreeable, with early snows offering good skiing to those inclined to flexible schedules and long, long drives.  I haven't yet had to resort to the sort of unseemly streak-padding in evidence among certain recent posters .  ;D

I was just experimenting! I mean, I didn't even know what I was doing. It's never happened before, I swear.
You know I like me the long runs, Mark.

Without revealing too much to the psychoanalysts in the crowd, there is something about maintaining a streak that appeals to me. I have always had a lot of admiration for "iron men" records in competitive sports. I have my own little personal streak of never calling in sick to work during the past 33 years; this is after never missing a class in high school and university. Yeah, I know that makes me certifiable.
Any quesses out there as to how many all year snow sliders exist in B.C., Washington and Oregon? Even if there are twice as many as listed on the Cover Page, this "club" is pretty finite, which is just fine with me. I like to march to a different drum; a small parade is sometimes more special than a big one. I am not bothered in the least after being constantly approached by regular people inquiring about the presence of skis on my back. Most of my family and friends do not ski even in the winter, so it is hard to convey my passion to them.

I am a recovering streaker of not much now, my streaker having been severely interrupted by a divorce and heavy wrist surgery. But hey, it's the skiing I missed, not the streak numbers.
