Uh oh. Looks like I stepped into it. My apologies. I am ammenable, of course, to having this post moved to wherever is appropriate. Or of course deleted if Charles thinks it doesn't belong anywhere.

Whatever the outcome, I want to thank you all for the nice words and suggestions. I really like the idea of having a board on my website for ski ascents/descents. Thanks to John Morrow for the suggestion.

And to NickD, I am a skier at heart. I'm one of you, really. :) I give in to the slowshoes every now and then though.

--Scott

Sorry, I have been a little absent on reading here. Thanks to the unofficial moderators who commented. I think that the way this should have gone is as outlined in the Terms of Use. That is, the Scott should have asked beforehand if it would be acceptable to make this post. I would have decided that although it is commercial - basically an ad - it would likely be of general interest to the TAY community and would be acceptable to post. I think that this board is the right place for the post. So the bottom line is that the post is OK, but the approach could have been better. :)

Yes, agreed -- I should have followed the steps in the Terms of Use. It didn't really dawn on me at the time I was making the post that I should have consulted the TOU before making the post. I do remember considering where the post should live and whether it was appropriate. I will do so in the future.

If I may say, I am impressed at how active the members are on this site. That's why the quality of the posts, tone and board etiquette are so good. It's a refreshing change from some of the other sites out there.

--Scott

Does the book clearly say which peaks are skiable and give info on ski routes? That wouldd be very useful.
