Summit Routes: Washington's 100 Highest Peaks was created by summitseeker
Just want to get the word out there about my guidebook to Washington's highest mountains. Covers everything from walk-ups to scrambles to moderate alpine climbs. The majority are scrambles (some rock climbing, but no technical gear required).

Quite a fair number of these peaks/areas are skiable, such as some of the peaks of the Eldorado Icecap (Eldorado, Klawatti, Primus), the Ptarmigan Traverse area, DaKobed Range (Clark, Luahna, Ten Peaks), Shuksan, Baker, etc.

The peaks are well distributed in all the major wilderness areas and on both sides of the crest. A great cross-section of the amazing geographic and geologic diversity of our tremendous mountains. If you're not into scrambling/climbing, this guide is still a great resource for discovering the trails that get you into the wilds among the giants.

More information on my website at
summitroutes.com
.

Take a look, post a comment on my website, join up with others. It'd be great to hear from people.

Thanks,
Scott Stephenson

I really enjoyed your book Scott. You and Bongi did a fine job with it. It answers numerous route questions I could not find. Would agree lots are skiable, particularly by some of the allstars who report on this site. You guys need to get some planks and get rid of those slowshoes.

How about starting a forum folder for ski ascents/descents on the website? It would be a quick way to see which ones are being skied regularly, infrequently, or even first descents. There's gotta be a few out there.

I was thinking something similar to "freshiezone" on cascadeclimbers.com, specific to Washington's highest peaks.

Yes, Scott's and Brian's book is a good one. I especially like the pictures.

To be fair, though, this thread should probably be moved over to the "Yardsale" forum, since it can be construed as commercial.

For what it's worth, I think that occasional posting of this type of material is worthwhile -- good information and definitely relevant to our mutual interests.
