<br><br>Eric, great information.<br><br>I have been touring with an ABS avalanche airbag system all season, even today. I am looking forward to a stable corn snowpack so that I can carry a light pack again!<br><br>Compared to other packs the ABS is 3 lbs. or 4 lbs. heavier. It is also a bit wide. However, I like having it for the day that I blow it in regard to avalanche hazard estimation. I hope to never test the ABS. It is very well made and has good material and features.
