Whistler overnight parking was created by marcr
Is there a hassle-free parking area for overnight parking at whistler? I called skier services, and the person on the phone said there was not a lot specifically reserved for overnight parking like at several other WA areas. She recommended paying the $45 at the RV park nearby ( no way), or taking my chances and hope that I don't get a ticket, or forced to move in the middle of the night.

It seems like this is a pretty basic service they should have covered. Has anyone else parked overnight up there?
In the past years, Lot #4 could be used for RV's but I have not been to Whistler this season. We have a Class B unit, campervan, which can be parked almost anywhere without being an obvious RV.

Zap

In the spring/summer I've done this w/o problem, but I've been told that in the winter they don't allow it because they want the lots clear for snow removal. I don't know what they would do if you slept in your car under the indoor parking area but it might be something to try. Not sure what type of vehicle your talking about spending the night in.

I heard they banned the overnight parking due to people living out of their cars for the season. And using the parking area as their toilet. The rv resort is quite nice and has heated bathroom with showers. I'm not sure if there is any hassle free overnight parking.

Yeh, I used to camp in the lot, but they have since disallowed things. Let us know if you figure out a decent place...
-Matt

The Holiday Inn in the Whistler Village has overnight parking -- it was 11 or 12 bucks for a 24 hour period last season. It's underground and you pay with a machine and then put the receipt on your dash. Unless they changed something, you do not need to be a guest of the Holiday Inn to park there.

I imagine on a busy weekend the lot may fill up, but last New Year's it wasn't sold out. And, yes, I have taken a nap in my car in said lot, but because it's underground and loud (and everything echoes), you may not get the best rest.

Hope that helps!
