The F2??!?!? I would advise getting a new beacon. That's the old dual frequency model from the early 90's if I'm remembering correctly.

My 1985 Ortovox dual frequency transceiver quit working about five years ago. Not surprising, I got lots of use from it.<br><br>I believe that the recommendation is for five years' use of a transceiver.
