What the heck? ??? 30 Minutes? From Tacoma?
It was a troll for Jeff. Guess my casting arm is getting a little weak as well as a bit off target. I was shooting for Portland and ended up hooking one in Greenwater.
Guess I still need some practice, eh? ;)
:)
Have to have a little levity now and then, eh?
Even tho with this medium it backfires as often as not.
From Kent I can make Paradise non-stop in 1:50; so I usually plan for two hours. Eatonville's just a tad under half way for me.
And this time I am not joking. ;)

My time from Lakewood to Paradise is about 1 hour 45 minutes. It is roughly:

From home to the end of Parkland-Spanaway on Highway 7 = about 20 minutes

From Spanaway to Elbe = about 20 minutes

From Elbe to the Park Gate, about 13 miles = about 20 minutes

From the main gate to Paradise ( I think that it is about 15 or 16 miles = about 25 minutes

Of course there are opportunities to break speed limits, the Elbe and Ashford police will be waiting for you, ha ha...

Boy, you guys must be really fast drivers!
The weather report says "very high wind above 5000' in morning" for Rainier. Who thinks "very high" means, "oh, it'll be blustery, but nothing unbearable"? and who thinks "very high" means, "it's not worth it."?

What I mean to say is, does friday look like a decent day to skin up to muir or does the weather report tell me that I should wait?
