Snow blanketed the the hills down to treeline this morning. The 4500' snow levels were true!

Now come on guys and gals this site is called "turns-all-year", not "turns- nearly all year" or turns all year except when it's crappy in September" (TAYEWCiS) or "turns all-year if I can only motivate myself "(TAYICOMM)???

We need more backbone and stiff upper lips. ;)
To suffer is to live, to ski in really bad conditions our
goal. So rise up, cast of those slippers and go forth to wreak havoc on your ptex and rip those edges out of your skis and keep that streak alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scotsman, you are a true carrier of the faith.

I finished my 12 months in August. It really didn't look like much fun this September, and I settled for completion of a one year goal in August. Ending on 13 wouldn't be right either, just too brutal.

Looking back over the year, I gotta say that this goal got me to some cool spots I had wanted to check out but hadn't gotten. Adams' SW Chutes, Frying Pan, Interglacier, Sunrise Pan Pt. Some new spots around Steven's and Paradise, plus the extra bonus of meeting some very cool folks. I have been quite inspired to head to new spots this season, although I'll leave rafting across lakes for turns to the true zealots.

Here's my favorite video from those 12 months, to stoke us as the snow starts to fall:
home.comcast.net/~vkormeier/2005_02_paradise_0001.wmv
