Jerm, every time I start down this line of thought, I end up thinking of four or five folks wanting to do an approach, meaning three of four snowmobile-hauling trucks milling around limited parking, and the noise and confusion of multiple engines screaming. The conversation always ends with. "... now, if we could just find a snow cat ...".

Scotsman, so far as I know, Silas still needs a pull, if you are in a position to help.

Problem with a snowcat is you need one big-ass truck, every time you go, which I doubt everyone here has. Also, can you legally drive a cat on forest roads used for snowmobiling?

A utility snowmobile should be able to pull 4-5 skiers up your typical NW logging road, and it's towable with your average small pickup or SUV.

I think something like this would be ideal...
www.alpina-snowmobiles.com/principale%20home.htm
Too bad they cost ~20 large.

I don't have a truck to help you move but we could possibly work out some kind of trade for services. I'm a Diesel and Hydraulic mechanic with a passion for skiing. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

So does that thing have the hydrostatic drive or is it a brake steer?

Aaron
