Who's going to get a season pass? was created by OldHouseMan
Who's going to chance it this year and get a pass? Luckily I skipped last season and didn't get one but I'm thinking of tacking the plung and getting one this year.

My choices are Meadows or Ski Bowl. Out of the group I ski with two of them buy Ski Bowl pass and one of them gets the Meadows pass.

I don't really care for Meadows and the way the place is ran but they have decent terrain and the season is longer.

Ski Bowl on the other hand seems to have everything you would want except consistent snow.

Now, do I go with the overcrowded wilderness haters, Meadows, or do I take a chance and subsidize Ski Bowl.

Aaron

Well, lucky for me I bought my pass at Snoqualmie last year and they are giving us all free season passes for this season!

Woo-Hoo!

Good question Aaron,

Luckily I've been informed that this winter will be the best in the last 25 years...atleast, I dreamed last night that it will be the best season in a LONG time. So I am probably going to buy a Baker pass again.

But I have also been thinking about saving some bucks, selling my tele gear, and buying a light dynafit setup in order to tackle the backcountry hard. So many options...

Both, Matt, both!!

Lifts are useful for heavy snowfall days, the one-hour morning powder rush, for testing the snowpack on easily accessible margins, and for quick access to areas like the Hemis and the Arm.

(Of course, that's easy for me to say, since Baker usually gives me a ticket gratis! 8))

But the best skiing is always beyond and usually above lift level. Dynafits rule there.

I'll pick up two. Though you won't hear me complaining about last year, I am predicting a different sort of year for '05/'06. The low snow years that I can recall were both preceded by a very dry spring and summer.

Selling your tele gear MattC? Don't be a douche bag. Dynafits are for pussies. Lahar Dar.
