Why would you when you have REAL mountains in your backyard?
That's ok, AC. The Geezers did the Palmer TWICE last year for Sept AND Oct turns. The great thing about the "Palmer Tour" is that the 5 hour "approach" to the snow typical of the fall season is done while sitting on your A$$ in the car, shooting the breeze with your ski buddies. And how can you beat the late, apre' ski lunch at the Government Camp brew pub; it doesn't get much better than that... And your feet don't hurt on the 5 hours "back out" (in fact if you spend enough time at the brew pub, NOTHING hurts (driver excepted, of course ;D )
In fact, it's such a great "tour" that I almost hope it doesn't snow until the end of October (no, no, not really )

If you were a smurf, would you want "the next best girl" in the village? No way, you'd want smurfette. At least I would, although you and "handy" smurf might make a cute couple.

BRING ON THE POWthe slope on the Park was definitely the next best thing to a groomer
