A Very limited number of skiboarders loading the chairs today.

Gorgeous Christmas Day Ski!
Saw Griff, he looked happy.
Gave the lifty's boxes of Ho Ho's.

I was happy Great to see you and your beautiful little one along with everyone today.

But damn, one thing I realized (again) by skiing in my compromised state is the Alpental is such a hard ski area. There really is no easy way down off of 1. I worked a lot harder for 5 runs today than I did yesterday at ski acres. Funny.

Easiest of the easy drives
Empty lots guaranteed a slopeside parking spot
Absent of a proper High T, the few that ventured beyond the gates mostly stuck to Sharon's knolls
I explored deeper than usual and took myself to magical places
Where the snow was soft and the turns sprayed faces

Exciting drive with slush starting @ Exit 38
Early arrival put me in prime position to share the second doublewide padded seat
Slight delay allowed for sufficient crowd buildup - padded seats loaded right away
l'Internationale remained shuttered until 10, after which the fine folks in red opened up much terrain:
Snake Dance just after 11, Elevator just before 12, and Shot Six at 1:30.
Clipped a wing on a tree last lap through the gate, resting and icing and hoping to be good by daybreak
