Lordy Lordy!  This thread is almost getting funny.  Jiminy Cricket. I been skiing at Crystal for almost 50 years (ouch), I vaguely remember that the lines were bigger the lifts were slower the management/operations were pretty crappy (still are sometimes – though I have seen a lot more emphasis on fixing their operations – like a lot more mechanics that know how to start the machines standing by in all the right places – remember listening to a snowmobile coming up the mountain to fix the problem in the past?).  Anyway Sunday was a typical screw up…who would have expected the biggest crowd in almost 2 years to show up.And Scotsman???? Don’t you think a Hawaii shirt is better than a suit? I’m hurt!

Well..it wouldn't be rocket science to imagine that,
with huge pent up demand after crappy last season,
Massive Social media blitz by Crystal about 17" of "Wet powder"
Etc....
That a Lot of people would show up.....and plan accordingly.....duh!

I think a Hawaiian shirt is better than a suit when in Hawaii and a suit better than an Hawaiian shirt at a formal work situation... what either has to do with skiing is what is confusing me. I just need to know.... It's this deep probing of social mores that keeps me up at night... worrying that I'm missing out by not wearing a" costume". But isn't everything we wear really a costume.?

Anyhoo...we've upset Pipedream and need to make amends. I think he's a millennium and they get upset about trigger words and micro-aggressions and all that..so we'd better say we're sorry.

I felt sooo bad walking past all those poor people with their daily passes attached to their clothes like some kind of mark while I sauntered onto the Gondi with my season pass hanging resplendent around my neck. Felt vaguely Nazi-ish!

In all seriousness, though. It seems like Crystal management hasn't figured themselves out, yet. Backpeddling on the RFID ticketing system, separate lines for passholders, and not taking kindly to online criticism.
