Friday at Mission Ridge was an AWESOME day! Clear and sunny and warm enough for the flamingo and Hawaii shirts. Snow grooming was up to their usual standards and first tracks along the Bomber cliffs rewarded zoomy smooth and fast runs. We ran the west side runs to start and migrated with the sunny softness eastward trail by trail. A few deep shadow spots stayed pretty hard, but most of the hill was easy turning by 1100. There were free demos, so I took out a pair of Storm Rider 95's in 183 for the afternoon runs, and found them nicely shaped and versatile for just about all types of snow and turns (even bumps). For our big adventure of the day, we hiked out Windy Ridge and dropped into Bowl 3 where we scored first cross turns galore. TomK & Kerry.

Where is Bowl 3?
Its below the windy ridge saddle, and exits above chair 3 into skookum/tillikum runs.
Between windy ridge and microwave on the lift map.
access gate to windy ridge is from chair 2, lookers left along the boundry ropeline. Go past all the marked dropins.

That's not what it's called. I've never heard of Bowl 3, and I ski there everyday. That would be called Upper Toketie/Windy Saddle. Its below the windy ridge saddle, and exits above chair 3 into skookum/tillikum runs.

Thanks Aaron.
I like those names better. So Windy Saddle is everything above where the Upper Toketie/Tillikum/Skookum trails start to the lookers left of the Chair 3 offload?
FWIW, the drop from the WR peak and below the saddle was called Bowl 3 by the random dudes we hiked out with. Good to know it's official name.
