The crowds and congestion were so bad I turned my car around

Me too, though I just went home and went out on the lake instead. I'm sure it would've been fun up top, but lordy that was just too much for me. Quite possibly the most crowded I've ever seen that place (even if a large number of people were just lounging around).

Great to see you Charlie, great day at Alpy. Fun to see so many familiar faces. Crowds were huge, as expected (duh). As long as you were in party mode first and ski mode second life was good. Snuck in a couple laps at West and Sunset/Sunrise laps below Chair peak over the weekend. West had the best snow, promoting naked skiing maddness to attain mucho gnar points. It was a mush festival on Chair getting warmer the higher you got with less/no overnight freeze above source lake.

I was there from 8:40 until noon -- sizable line up waiting for Armstrong to start loading at exactly 9:00 lines weren't too bad until 10:30.

The best costumes I saw was the Wookey and the Pink Easter bunny on the monoski

Beautiful day.  Sad to see Alpy go again.

For those of you worried about the impact of yesterday's Lot 4 reveling, I'm happy to report that some of Alpental's youngest and finest were out in force this morning cleaning-up what others didn't. Very cool, good on em' for doing that...how pathetic that they had to though.

Would be swell if everyone now coming to hike laps brought an empty plastic bag (even a small grocery bag) each time and filled it.
