I keep hearing something about a crust? But seriously, it was easily avoided by skiing just a bit faster and understanding where (and where not) to make the turns. Only ~6" down low but a good 12-15" up high and some decent wind transport provided us with an ample # of face shots and untracked pow on literally every run. Elevator open by 10, high T rolled a little late ~1:15 or so. Big lines/ski school related from 10-2pm but pretty low before and after. Slough management was key on several laps.

No doubt we are on a roller coaster this year.

Only caught E gate and it was fun. Agreed that it was all about turn management. Sorry I missed Nash gate, I guess I too was one of those altruistic TAY memebers that left it for others............ ;D

Exactly what I found too. Slopes looked great on my first ride up. No tracks or anything. Eisfallen had 3 tracks when I got there so I practiced my powder conservation in there. Hit Schluct just after 2 opened and it was untracked and deep, below the pinch was wind scoured ice though. In fact I wasn't even headed for Schluct but hit a deep pocket just below the tower and was too lazy to wallow out so I let gravity take over. Headed over to Pyramid face which was super deep (and untrodden). Kante was good with some windbuff/styrofoamy spots but otherwise pretty nice. Repeated laps through Breakover yielded untracked good snow as late as 345ish. Nash/Adrenalin pretty decent. Gunmount was nice in the morning due to windtransport. Around 1pm Shot 4 was good but Shot 5 had frozen debris hunks suggesting where to turn. Snake Dance scraped by the time I went over there in the pm. Ended the day via Ingrid's a few times. It skied pretty well for the day's traffic. Thought about going above the falls but was too lazy.

Due to poor timing I never made it out the gates, but I heard about it all day. >:(
