Hope you have a speedy recovery and are back in the mountains soon Zap!

Just a quick update.  All went well with Zap's surgery, but there were complications afterwards -- he had a stroke the next day.  Although he is making amazing progress, he's going to need intensive rehab.  This is going to be a long process, but he is committed to doing everything necessary to get back in the mountains.

Zap and Jill,
I'm so sorry for your setback. I'm one of zap's many "ski buddies" from TAY.  I only had the pleasure of skiing with him once at crystal during a powder frenzy. Joe Bell and I were on a mission to ski 40k vert in a day. We all had such a great time, much due to Zap's exuberance, friendliness, and an infectious love for sliding on snow.  He left quite an impression which has not faded with time (that was probably three years ago).
I've been skiing with my wife at silver fir a fair amount this season, and hoping we'd cross paths one of these days to share some powder stories, and take a few runs. I'm sure we'd have plenty to talk about (my wife Julie is skiing on Jill's old Kailas).
Zap, please get well soon so we can make some turns!
