Crystal - Day after Turkey day

Back in B, Scotty, stealthy this year till the sh** shows start 1st day on the hill, great turns this am then a walk about after lunch. Knee Doc did a good job but I still get stiff. I'm needing Advil and beauty sleep. Not nearly as crowded at Crystal as Malibu was last week, lot more Subarus and 4bys here as opposed to the Jags and Bentlys the rich folks drive there.

We got up early and ripped GV and slid over to 6 when the line got a bit too long fo ourr spoiled asses. far  right of powder bowl was un touched and  far A basin line was un tracked as well. Skiing with two guys that are both former mt guides and pro patrollers was a bit too much for my old ass. These guys know the hill as well as anybody and they know just the right line and stash to find and we just ripped it all AM, I waved the white flag after the 8th none stop run off of 6. You always hear about that day your kid passes you up, but seldom your hear about the day he smokes you to ashes, thanks for a great day in the hills with two great guys. The beer at the Elk was sure good. Sorry for the Alpy guy got bummed out, The traverse was a bit bonny, but what the heck, it was the DAY AFTER THANKGIVING.

I think the Left Angle ski shop may have some early season deals on last seasons skis/snowboards. :

Alpental does suck. Everyone should go ski Crystal, Stevens and Baker this year and just forget about going to the Alp. Just sayin......:>)

Why does the stuff that happens to stupid people keep happening to me?

Who here doesn't absolutely love the fact we are all able to get some lift served action to work off the Thanksgiving gluttony?  CBasin did indeed do a number on my skis but I still couldn't be happier about the day. Good snow + scattered sunshine = a GFD in my book.  As one of my chairlift acquaintances put it so well;

"You just need to break out the war wagons and have at 'er".
