I was wrong about this call, at least at Crystal. The snow was surprisingly colder than the norm for April sunshine on Saturday (Friday was cloudy no sun). And the snow quality was very nice on most aspects, especially North faces. But the snow on most other aspects did finally succumb to the Sun's power later about 1pm, but still skied great.
So much for being a snow forecaster.

Not going to far out on a limb on this one. This time of year, even if the freezing level is at 500ft the sun is very high and turns the snow to heavy mash potatoes in very little time.
An early daylight savings this year has been very beneficial for early AM powder runs.
Check it out if the sun comes out tomorrow.
