If you go up the Excaliber lift from Whistler base area and get off at the only stop at lower Blackcomb. Take a right and it is located above the parking lots less that 500 yards away.
Well hidden, must be cool to see at night when it is all lit up and the ice is glowing.
IMHO-It is best viewing at position near the finish line on the hill, so you can see the start on the jumbo-tron as it follows the racers. As they near you can hear the thunder of the sled echoing off the ice walls. Get ready, see them flash down the banked turns and pull 5G's in the final bend. Then up a 30degree vertical 300 yard runaway truck ramp. With full brakes on sending up a months worth of slurpee in their wake. It is amazing!
As far as that "other" subject goes, as we checked into the hotel, we wondered why the female hotel clerks weren't flirting on us as they usually do when I check into a hotel. My first experinece of discrimination.

Hey Joe, I was up there the week before and enjoyed checking out the Nordic Center. Where is the bobsled venue; didn't see, but would be fun to check out. Thanks

I knew that picture was coming. Very , very funny!
It was like that Sinefield episode where a female reporter thinks George and Jerry are gay and George starts shouting, " I'll prove it", starts ripping his sweater off and says, " I'll make love to you right now, right here." We where going to start saying the same thing to every female hotel clerk and waitress we met.
The bobsledding was really cool and Joe and I where cheering on the USA sled #1 that on their last run beat the Canadian sled much to the chagrin of the locals who being Canadian took it well. Bree Schaff was the 19th starter out of 20 and her run moved her up to 5th place on the first run then 6th on the second. The speed is truly amazing and seeing it on TV does not do it justice.
We NEEEEEED snow!!!!

Good thing you clearly delineated which team you're on, you boys walk a fine line . . .
(P.S. Picture reposted from Tele-What thread.)

Bobsledding is probably slang for something in the alternative community.
Congrats to your niece Joe.

Bree is from Kitsap , so I've been following her a bit in the local paper.
I'm sure Winterpride and your sledding trip were just a coincidence....
