Great conditions on the Watson Bacon Hagan traverse recently!

  • We could drive to 3500 ft, with continuous snow beginning at 4300 ft. This felt like the perfect timing.
  • Adequate snow coverage to ski down to 3700 ft in Noisy Creek.
  • Good coverage across Green Lake and over to Hagan, although the initial south facing climb out of Green Lake was thin.
  • Skied down to 4k on the Blum exit, then thrashed to the valley floor. This "trail" is extremely difficult to follow.

The skiing was really fun and easy. If you like wild scenery with smooth, open descents, then this is for you!

Still boot-top powder down Hagan in the afternoon!

Nice! Always wanted to do that traverse on skis. Have only done in summer. Such beautiful country.
