Sir James (aka the Hulking Tattooed Man From Seattle) and I arrived at Christine Falls at about 8:30 am.  We hiked the trial up to Comet Falls.  An ice axe would have been a definite plus for the firm snow, side-hill traverse up the canyon below the falls.  We broke into the sub-alpine at about 5K and proceeded up through Van Trump Park.  The only thing better than the views was the corn--it was a bountiful harvest.  After making our mark we were back at the car by about 3:30.  An excellent tour with a little more remote feel than the usual Muir/Tatoosh experience.

P.S.
J.D.--you'll be pleased to know that we excelled at transitions.

Heya Patrick- Glad to hear your out harvesting the corn this spring!  Sounds like it was a great tour!  I still have to get up to Van Trump Park one of these years  8)

Patrick,
It sounds like you headed right, up the steep slope a 1/4 mi short of Comet Falls where the trail crosses the stream(and the bridge used to be)?
Was that very technical?  It looks pretty nasty.
