3 gates to snow line from cascade river road north cascades sign make it a 6 mile bike ride to snow line, at about soldier creek. From there it was all snow all the way. I started at about 530 . Took about 90 minutes to snow line then I skinned to the Sahale glacier. It was windy and cold . And the snow was a bit punchy so I opted to forgo the summit this time and ski down. Good choice. The combo of sun, when and temp gave me a supportable corn / crust that made for great skiing. I was back to the car by 1230. Lots of snow and with a bike , bonus multi sport day!

Some random couloir, probably a hard man descent

"Some random couloir, probably a hard man descent"

Haha

Any evidence of enforcement of the closure? Roadside parking I presume...

negative to enforcement. Have only "heard" of baker area getting ticketed, but that may be hearsay. Ive been out a bunch w/o any interactions.

Hi there! Thanks for the post. We tossed around the idea of trying for this on 6/7. Wondering what your thoughts are if the skiing would still be good.
