3 hour drive from Seattle to Paradise
1 hour hike up a very icy Skyline Trail
3, maybe four turns down a lonely patch of snow
30 minutes down a very icy Skyline Trail
3 hour drive back to Seattle
October Turns: Check!
I'm not sure the joy-o-meter budged during the skiing, but the drive was beautiful and it was great to have a whole day without work. Sometimes you need to just go out and do something ridiculous.

You should have kept climbing...things got better and better as the day and elevation went on.
