The road is once again gated at Waterhole so I decided to borrow my "wife's" Bionix electric assit bike and headed out to Obstruction Point. Seeing  how there wouldn't be any traffic, I strapped the skis on the rack sideways and pedaled out in half the time.  Temps hovered around freezing all day. The snow chutes were bullet proof to the north and south of Obstruction so I headed out Lillian and found a southerly finger just east of Moose Peak finishing out my first TAY season!
Hey I just saw this-congratulations and quite a creative effort.   ;D

Is that second photo of something on Lillian?

Very nice!  I'd love to get up there soon myself.  Thanks for the beta on conditions.

It looks like you ski alone a lot... if you ever need a partner, I'm new to the area and am looking to hit the Olympics more often.

For the most part it is. Just before you drop down from Lillian Ridge into Grand there is a ridge trail that takes you over Moose Peak that offers several skiable drainages "chutes" that flow into Grand Creek.  Spring is really the best time for the approach as most of the snow will have melted out by mid August. I saw this one from a fishing trip a couple weeks ago and thought it might still be worth a try.

I think the Obst. Point Rd. is going to be closed for the rest of the season but with some effort, early snows will provide for (mostly touring along the road) and depending on snow depth,  plenty of  terrain for turns along the way. Turns for much less effort are likely in a month or so if this seasons predicted Lal Nina event returns in time for Thanksgiving :)
