The weather was good.  The snow was good.  Skinning from the car to the summit was good.  Chilly temps were good.  Fast hoar frost enhanced turns were good.  And the crowds were a tad bit less than Helio ;)

First hit of pow this season reminded me why I became addicted in the first place.

On the way out we skied to Hannegan Camp on mostly snow, walked for a bit and then enjoyed a brisk skin to the car barely arriving before dark.

Burgers at Boomers capped off an amazing fall pow day!
How things have changed up there in just a week or so. Nice pics and nice choice. You earned some amazing goods.

That looks awesome.

Stoked to see you back on your feet man!

Awesome looking day.

Thanks Scott.  Definitely felt good to ski some pow again.

Here's link to all the photos I took yesterday.

how long is the round trip for Ruth?

Cold temps and powder made it hard to focus on shooting video but here's a quick clip that hopefully communicates a taste of the day: click the mouse right here

Skinning from the car, it took a solid 5 hours to get to the summit. Being able to ski all the way to hannegan camp and skinning out the last mile or so were a huge bonus on the way out!
