On NE slopes we found 13" consistent, slightly dense powder on a solid base which we never felt. Light wind, occasional misty cloud, perfect conditions for viewing Budda's Glory. 20 of us enjoyed sharing fresh tracks for all, run after run, 600-900' each.
20 of you??? Jesus H Christ do you TAYers only go around as a "gang" now".
"fresh tracks for all"......... socialist!!!!!

Maybe we should, to protect ourselves from ttipsters, TGReaserchers, and other Negative Nelsons? ;)

Actually I counted 16 people plus our four, dunno how many were TAYers besides Jodabaker, snoslut, dromond, tim_place, myself and eli.  We saw four alpine skiers booting up, kindly staying out of the skin track, now that is tough!

Where were you?  What's so important that you could not handle it by  iPhone?  ???  There was cell coverage at the summit.   You could even have kept up with TAY website while you waited for us to catch up on each lap. :)

I ended up skiing the bowl on the north face of Yakima Peak today - and our group of three were surprised there was no one else there. Just the three of us riding pow all day. I guess everyone was across the street! It would have been fine either way, but funny that everyone headed there...

Silas, are you skiing every day? Awesome.

It was a fantastic day with spectacular weather and awesome snow. I will sum it up: YEAH!!!

I was working hard to make money to pay corporate taxes to fund Social Security and keep you skiing Silas. Hopefully you will leave enough in the fund to pay for my skiing retirement.
More power to ya. I am green with envy .

Damn.

Think of how many damns there would be if there was no photo limit on this board.

BTW we 3 found similar conditions on the N face o Yakima.  Even the S side, in the trees back to the car was still pwdr!

Nice!  You guys nailed it!

Over on Muir we came up with another TAY name for Silas:  Sialis Wild, because he gets it up in the mountains everyday!

The careful observer will note that the current guidelines are hardly being enforced.

Now that Mother Nature has decided to wash away our powder high, here's a memory of the good times http://vimeo.com/16834612

The season is just beginning!

Silas, nice to see those photos bigger than on the iphone when you showed me yesterday. ski ya soon.
