Only reporting this 'cause I shot off my mouth and said I was doin it.  Anyway, it's always been about the glidin and slidin, right?  Skateboarding and land luge led to hangliding and sailplanes.  Skiing was always in there, water and snow.  Somewhere in there, sand got added and decent pitches of boot turns on snow were sought out.  Always wanted to do junk, but the right place and time hadn't come along yet.  Still hasn't.  worked it hard the other day, but the damp silty soil between the native grass clumps was just too grabby.  even in places where slope rollover approached 40 degrees, a brief acceleration on wet grass was quickly staunched...  you ever carried a good momentum onto a 40 dg slope to a sudden stop.?  Letty didn't get any pictures of that, but here's a couple of others.

Now put a solid frost on this hill, and you got a whole n'other ball game..

t'was windy on top

some slidin possible - in 2000 vertical, had probably no more than 400 of glidin and all that was jerky
SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL!!!!! :) :) :)

Now that's some TAYing.  8)

What was the avy hazard?  Did you do any stability tests?  ;)

Fatter boards would have given you better flotation, maybe got you past some of those "sticky" places.  ;)

Creative skiing, great post!

Gary

Only on grass.
Nice one David you are one tough mo-fo.

Awesome! Did a few jobs a couple years back in the Tri Vecta Secta and looked at those ridge lines w/ outcroppings as I drove by almost daily thinking they would be good on the right day. I guess Epic on the right day because it looks good on any day.

has warren miller been sighted yet?

if you see a heli in march and cant get around, you'll know what's up.
