Nothing exciting, but in case you wondered: there remained many stashes of quality snow in the Catherine environs today, but there are a number of wind-scoured and melt-freeze crusts in the expected locations, as well. Saw only a set of tracks which appeared to belong to a pair of skiers yesterday, but nobody else out there today. In retrospect, I think the best turns were found just lapping Hyak closer in. But you never know unless you go!

Do you think north facing aspects (kendall, snoqualmie, etc) will survive today's warm up? Hard to tell when the freezing levels go to 7k...

I wouldn’t bet on trees or pow any more this season; my money is on sun-kissed open slopes and AM steeps from this point.
