Mount Herman

Went up to Mt. Herman on Saturday. Parked at the trailhead parking by the ski resort. Skinned up to the Herman - Mazama Dome col and headed up one of valleys to the South ridge of Herman. Snow cover got low near the top of the valley and snow was icy so we booted that section. The final section to the summit looked too steep for skis so we left them near the col and booted up the last bit. Great views from the top. Skiing down was ok. There were sections of soft snow and sections of crust, and surprising transitions between the two. We had time for a couple of laps near Herman Saddle before going back to the car.
