Skied the mazama ridge area today.  There's a very thin crust covering everything below at least 6400 ft and probably higher but that's as high as we got.  it's easy to break through it so doesn't impede skiing but it is certainly not powder skiing.  It will certainly get covered over in the next storm arriving wed so could be an issueas it will act as a slide layer.
We skied Silver Basin off the king yesterday 12/17 and kicked off a slide from the wind crust over the rocks at the top of SETrees. Not deep but ran over 300' into the trees. Not reassuring.
