Arrived at Stevens Pass with buddy Pete at about 7:30am. Was shocked to see that they had run a snowcat straight up Big Chief. However it's always nice to have a 20ft wide skin track at your disposal first thing in the morning. :) We discovered that they've built a huge gap jump at the bottom of Big Chief bowl for some upcoming filming.
Headed up Big Chief to Double Diamond. Wind affected at the top of Double Diamond, but wonderful snow once down in the trees. Spent the rest of the morning skiing the trees until the sun came out. It started snowing again when we left at about 1pm
It's pretty amazing to have such nice snow in May. Here is video for anyone who is interested:

I think Ale and I bumped into your film subject in the Yodelin lot. It was heavy there when we were up at 5pm but the Yodelin trees were still good - just too damn short!
