May 13, 2012, Skinning at Stevens

I drove up early to get some May turns and be back to Mom's Day dinner.  Started from the steps in shorts and a t-shirt.  A bit of a track led to the top of Kehr's, then I booted Double Diamond and did my transition on the chair at the unloading ramp. The N aspect was very nice and still firm on Double, under the lift, and down to the base.  The only skier I saw was headed for Big Chief Mountain with his dog.  Another skin up Skyline was pretty warm, but I was surprised with an unopened Blue Moon right below the top of the lift. It's open now---some is still left by the tower at the lip of Skyline Bowl if you're up there....
