Alfred, my Austrian guest, saw his first blue sky in the Cascades after two weeks here. We found nice 12-16" powder on N and NW slopes. The west breeze had not stiffened that aspect by 1pm. The sun had warmed south slopes and made them a bit heavy, likely crusty tomorrow if not covered by fresh snow tonight.
Good skiing with you guys, hope you made it up to Baker easily. Our next run down the backside was just as good as the first, even the run down to the parking lot was pretty damn good! Pics and short video on NWH.
