On the way home last night I was wishing my slave driver of a boss gave me Thursday off. With that said I play the hand I was dealt and head up to Hyak in the morning before the heat wave rips through all that delightfull pow we just had delivered. Androolus was night skiing Thursday eve and just kept touring until the wee hours of Friday morning under the moonlight. He pitched camp high atop Mt. Hyak for a few hours rest and I met him at day break. Things were a little tracked up but there were still some good turns left on the hill. We saw three others that had the same idea, turns for breakfast! The snow was still fairly light and fun. Santa all I want for Christmas is Mt. Rainier's road work to be done. This six thousand foot snow level stuff sucks! J.

Ja, Androolus had wonderful touring under the light of moon. After night skiing at ski arces, I skinned up hyak and pitched my tent. And then I was off for some midnight touring under the moon and stars. Did some short runs on the backside ala charles (that is) I hit the road and skied back up sans skins...that's right no transition. I was on fischer sbounds...waxless metal edge slightly shaped skis...A little skinnier than old school alpine. Then I toured about in hidden valley. Got to bed by 2:30am...up at 6:15am for two runs frontside with cochise(Jay). Man those skinny skis are a lot harder to ski than the fats.
