Yeah.  It was pretty crowded.

Left the lower lot around 8:45am and got in line.  Skin up was great.  Frozen to just slightly softened.  Ski crampons would have been nice for taking the Pan Point bypass.  Wind down low until it was blocked at about Moon Rocks.  Started skiing down around 3pm after coffee time.  Found lots of unskied areas off towards Anvil Rock and below it.  Snow was great until just above Pan Point and then really chopped up on Pan face.  Grabby and thick to the truck below.  If it freezes tonight it could be pretty choppy and Pan face will be really painful.  Wish I hadn't left the ski cramps in the car when going up the Pan Point bypass it was pretty icy.  Took a look at both the Cowlitz and the Paradise.  Cowlitz has one crack beginning to open way skiers left.  Paradise is smooth but the crack below Anvil is opening up.  Otherwise amazing day.  Thanks to Linda for the company and the middle photo.

Jealous! I had too much to do last night and didn't get to bed at a time that would allow me to wake up in time to get to Paradise and be functioning. Instead I went out on the lake, but the whole time I found myself gazing at Rainier imagining skiing...

Didn't ski Muir.  It looked like a mob scene Saturday.  Looking down at the route to Muir, at one point I counted over 215 people on route with many to the sides skiing and practicing glissading.  Was very amusing watching the Muir Ant Farm.
