A little late, but wanted to give a quick TR.  After skiing inbounds at Crystal on Saturday a friend wanted to try out new ski boot on a quick tour Sunday.  I got a lot of beta about conditions from Saturday which basically found that NW aspects were holding POW really good above 5000 ft and nothing else was any good in resort.  With this knowledge and season pass we took the easy way into Crystal lakes and enjoyed 5 laps of boot and waist deep POW.  From what I've read this wasn't the norm for touring that weekend.  Sunny and cold in the shade and very warm in the sun.  We saw signs of old Avy debris around and stayed away from anything that had sun affect because of temperature concerns.  Overall, it's always a great tour when you keep skiing until sunset.  Seem like we got lucky and reminder that good conditions can be found if you put work and just go.
