We made the trek up to Rogers Pass last week, with hopes that the forecast storm would hold off until we made it to the Asulkan hut, and then the clouds would open up and relentlessly dump. We were in luck. The snow began lightly on the drive to the BC interior, and didn't stop until our last morning at the hut. After our first night, we had the whole Asulkan drainage to ourselves, no other parties were in the hut, and nobody made the trek up, most likely due to the forecast high avy danger. While high winds and heavy snowfall resulted in unstable slabs and low vis in the alpine, we were able to take advantage of the wind-protected tree triangle below the hut. Our routine was the same each morning, wake up, dig out our skis on the porch, and ski until it was dark...

More pix please!

Love it, brings me back.

Love it up there - too bad you couldn't hit the alpine, but that pow looks fantastic!

That tree triangle is a magic space for sure.
Few years back we spent 4 days there under identical condition.
Every night the new snow erased our tracks. It was like the Groundhog Day movie.

Thanks for the pics!

There are a few more pictures here.
