As of 5/23, you can drive to within 1/3 mile of the Esmerelda Trailhead. There is a short carry at the start of the trail and then continuous snow!
It was hot on 5/22 and then cloudy overnight, so there was no refreeze below about 6k. Still we found good corn on the east slopes of Fortune around 10am and south face around 11am.
