Mostly a touring day, not turning, but what we did find for those interested:  Going up Mazama Ridge, over a foot of fresh on top of the wet stuff underneath.  Snow was a little heavy, but not wind-affected.  Snow dry, but not as deep (more wind affected) up below Paradise glacier.   Pretty wet, and not too deep around Reflection Lakes.   Headed halfway up to Castle Saddle - these were the only turns we had, and not very fun - the snow was very runneled (from rain) underneath the 6 or so inches of new snow.  Didn't see anyone else out for "turns" (just lots of snowshoers), except did see some tracks on Mazama Ridge.
Weather was poor visiblity, very little wind, and about 3 inches of new snow during the day.
Excellent skinning conditions (wet snow underneath fresh stuff provided incredible grip, yet didn't ball up).

Best snow was probably around Mazama Ridge.

They didn't open the gate until almost 10am :-(
thanks for the report think i'll head to mazama ridge tomorrow and play in the powder (i was worried i wouldn't get to say that again this year )thanks

The reality was "went to Mazama Ridge and played in the Cascade concrete". Don't know the temp, but diffential above freezing.

thanks for pointing that out, the dream is dead
