Saturday we found very good, stable conditions on SE aspects of
E. Skyline ridge between 3800' and 5500'. Sunday we found good, stable conditions on W-NW aspects of Arrowhead (2800' to 6000'). About 10 inches of well bonded, moderately dense new on the apparently strong November 29 rain crust. We parked our camper in a lot at Stevens Pass ski area. We found no Post-9-11 policing or signage at the railroad tunnel ventilator shaft turn-out used to access Jim Hill/Arrowhead. If you use this turn-out, be sure to part at one end or the other, close to the embankment. This turn-out is used by snow plow drivers. They have tolerated our presence. Let's try to keep it that way.

Participated in avalanche safety class on lower Heather Ridge area. Instructor's evaluation of pits, Rutchblok (sic) etc. agree with the above. Nice skiing!
The north end of the east aspect of Heather Ridge had some instability on Saturday. The slope collapsed underneath us at one point, about 100 feet below the ridgetop. Nothing slid, but the surface snow in that area was a little slabby.
The rest of the bowls seemed fine though, it was just that one area.
