Left bony Bachelor and blustery Bend late afternoon of the 19th and found myself in a significant snowstorm that evidently dropped most of its precip right on the highway. Turned up at Bunny Flats around 9:00 AM to a beautiful bluebird day. Luckily a hard base of a foot-plus survived the t-giving warmth, and the skiff to two to three of puff made a really nice skin up to around 9,300'. Soft on the down too, in the trees and other areas that weren't scoured.
A bit different from the Oly peninsula, huh! I went by Shasta several times this fall and found it more bare than I'd ever seen it, almost scorched looking, so it's nice to see your photos of it snow-covered again.
