Toured around 4th crossing, Mazama and Mazama backbowl. Tons of new but quite heavy, took some getting used to compared to the light bouncy fluff as of late. Back to a more normal Northwest feel although hopefully that will change again. Early in the day there was a suncrust under a trace-3 inches of new and some areas appeared to be pretty wind affected. Skiing took some effort in the morning to attack the crust. Conditions improved in the afternoon and the skiing became quite fun as the grab/slow factor was improving. Nice cornices starting to form along the backbowl. Also noticed some surface hoar on the trees in places, but didnt see hardly any on the ground. It'll be interesting to see how things set up for the weekend.
