Baker area has decent snow coverage for the most part. Some boulder fields that are usually covered are not completely covered yet and Bagley Creek still has some open water. Barometer had some tough conditions for skinning with a few steep sections and many small trees sticking out that will be covered later in the season. The top is wind scoured. I hit rocks a few times. I ended up skiing back down the ridge because I was running out of daylight. The more open slopes probably have better skiing. Skiing was good in the Herman Saddle / Iceberg Lake area with good coverage.
For approaching Barometer did you go around Table or directly up and over the Herman saddle area? Hope coverage on those boulder fields improves with the next system
We went over Herman Saddle. They are expecting a lot of new snow in the next few days. Hopefully thy are right.
