Dec 1- Dawn patrol- Summit

MikeC and I decided we needed to get a little exercise so I left home at 4.30am, picked Mike up in Bellview and drove to Alpental.

At Alpental we where very politely asked( Very polite considering we where climbing over the closed barrier at the end of the bridge at the time :-[) to ski elsewhere as the gentleman said they where going to bomb today in readiness for tomorrow's opening. We complied and drove over to Summit West (I think). We skinned up to the top and skied down. :D

Snow was back to the typical heavy Cascade glop and not like the powder we have become accustomed to in the last week. The Alpental snow seemed much drier and lighter by the way!

Chugach, my husky had a good time and so did we. :D At work by 10:00am.
There's something about a dawn patrol that makes you feel so good for the rest of the day!

Here's a photo which is my first ever posted and it took the whole IT department at my work to help me do it due to my ineptitude.
