Colfax Peak South Face ski descent

On May 4th under perfect conditions, Mason Stafford, Matt Schoenwald and myself skied the south Face of Colfax Peak (9460 feet) near Mount Baker. I became aware of the line last year during a summer ascent. The line boosts about 1800 feet of vertical, is about 45 degrees steep and has a south facing position.
We started touring at 2700 feet on the south side of Mount Baker at around 4am in the morning. Conditions were nicely frozen and at around 9:30 am we found ourselves in the summit saddle waiting for the temps to go up.
At short section of cramponing got us to the summit.
(It is worthwile mentioning that the conditions on the glaciers of Mount Baker are amazing, considering what a mess it was last fall.
All is good and filled in and if anyone is actually thinking of climbing the North Ridge, it is almost silly easy to get over there right now.)
The following descent from the summit was very fun.
Weather was good, corn was good, steepness was good, friends were good, scenery was good, the following "shot in the dark" was also good; so therefore all was good.
I posted some photos along with a trip report on the Pro Guiding Service website, so check it out (www.proguiding.com)
Cheers. Martin

Way to go get it, Martin. Now how about that line on the north side of Colfax?
Cool. That line looks good.
Now how about that line of Lincoln Sky ;)?

I did look at it and it is doable, but it certainly is dangerous. And ideally, dying ain't no way to make a living....
