Northside Catharine. It's a little crucible: Big enough to get into, get a bit screwed-up and cook your shit up, but still be home in time for tea.
Victor & Ari came along. Into the maze trail system, then a rising right traverse, under the cliffs, on rightwards across the 2nd steep clearing, up the 1st chute. Then onto an old(ish) growth bench, downed trees abound, up the 2nd chute & summit. Boom.
Back the way we came.

Wow, good on you, guys - we were thinking about Catherine yesterday, but gave that idea up quickly, thinking it'd be a leg-breaker coming down the steep chute(s) in the dense trees. I bet you found solitude up there, which is worth a lot.
Who needs to get home for tea when you bring it with you?
