It was one of those lovely cloudy sunny days, with light rain at the parking lot and shocking warmth and calm up above. From Camp Muir down to Panorama Point was all good skiing - supportable crust with just a thin layer of softening fresh stuff on top. At least that's what I found around 1pm. Areas below that have more typical April sticky mush. Steeper slopes also are lacking the supportable crust -- I took some turns down into the Nisqually Chute and aborted as the mush got too deep (worsening with the descent). No major instabilities observed though, just lots of snowballs.

Also... use skin wax! (I didn't and it wasn't fun.)

And also... apparently the gate stayed open all last night, but signs were still up today saying that it will be closed and locked at 5:30pm.
Lovely photo #2. Good to know you're out there amigo.
