Gate was open before 9:10 when we arrived at Longmire. Mountaineers with 5 tele, 1 AT, 1 split board.
We went from Paradise to Anvil Rock.
Warm day with cloud cap at about 10,000', but fairly thin. We didn't use enough sunscreen.
There was about 2" of almost new snow on a thin styrofoam layer, with stable base along almost the entire route, with some areas of deeper fresh snow. No ice, no sastrugi. One of us booted up by choice on the stable snow. Fairly light up high with great ski conditions. ;D Getting heavy below Panorama Point on the decent.
Lots of tracks to follow up, but plenty of open area on the decent. 10:30 AM start from Paradise, 5:30 PM back at the lot.
