Yesterday (Mon.) I skied Mt. Thealson (down by Diamond Lake/Mt. Bailey!).  I had been wanting to ski this peak ever since I made an ascent of this peak some fifteen years ago in total scree conditions.  I remember the slope to be long and at a fun angle and so yesterday the dream realized!

This is a pretty good time to get on it (for this year anyway) as most years the snow coverage on that slope is pretty sparse-- from what I've heard.....  I had a hunch that luck would be with me for great coverage as Mt. Bailey and Crater Lake were measureing some pretty good depths.

Driving in,
I must say I was pretty excited when that slope filled my windshield with a view of snow all the way to the top.  Snow park has about 6' or higher (maybe) snowbanks and the snow is deep all the way to the top of the mountain (base of pinnacle i.e., and even some on it along with water ice and water....) .

The mountain is IN CONDITION RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
